| The Mother and Child Health Handbook was created for the purpose of ensuring the health of mother and child. The handbook is issued when an expectant mother submits an application to the ward office that notifies them of her pregnancy. As the handbook is used to record important information from pregnancy to birth, childrearing, vaccinations, and health checkups, it is recommended that expectant mothers inform the ward office of their pregnancies and receive their handbook as soon as possible. The handbook is also available in English, Chinese, Korean, Tagalog, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai and Indonesian.
Handbooks are issued at the Ward Community Service Division
of each ward office, Ward Branch Offices, the Administrative
Service Window, and Community Health Center located within
each ward office.
Handbooks in foreign languages are issued at the Community
Health Center located within each ward office.
