Saitama City pays an allowance to fathers or mothers of single parent households, households where guardians are taking care of children in place their parents, and households where with mother or father has a certain degree of disability.
Fathers, mothers or guardians of single parent households, etc., who are raising a child of 18 years or younger (paid until March 31 of fiscal year the child turns 18) or a child up to 20 years old with a certain degree of disability.
The city pays a portion of the money needed to prepare for children’s admission to school.
Single mothers, fathers or guardians with children entering junior high school, who are exempt from paying resident tax but are not receiving public assistance.
Saitama City will pay a portion of your medical fees to the relevant facilities on your behalf if you are receiving outpatient treatment at the hospital for illness or injury or you have been admitted.

Single parents or children who are receiving child support allowance, or those whose income falls in the same category, and have not graduated from high school equivalent.
