Electricity (TEPCO customers only)

When Beginning Use

Switch all the circuit breakers on the distribution switchboard on the wall to ON and check whether the electricity is on (you can do so by checking the light in the toilet etc.).

Next, call the TEPCO Saitama customer center to let them know you have started using electricity, tell them your address, name and the date of your first started using electricity. Also, if the electricity does not work even if the breakers are ON, report to TEPCO. In Saitama City, mains voltage is 100V and frequency is 50 Hz.

How to Pay Your Electricity Bill?

You will receive a payment slip with a barcode together within one month after you have called the TEPCO Saitama customer center. You can take the payment slip and pay in cash at banks, the post office, or convenience stores.

In addition to payment by the payment slip, you can also apply to pay by bank transfer or credit card. Please contact the TEPCO Saitama customer center for further details.

When Moving Houses

Inform the TEPCO Saitama customer center that you are moving house and you would like to stop the electricity service three or four days in advance.

Tell TEPCO your address, name, moving date, new address, last payment method, and the customer number on your electricity payment slip (only if you have it).

Before leaving the house, switch the amp breaker to OFF.
