There are two types of gas used in Saitama City; namely city gas and propane gas. You need to use gas appliances that are compatible with these types of gas. Tokyo Gas provides Saitama City’s city gas, but in Iwatsuki Ward it is provided by Tosai Gas.

Beginning and Ending Gas Use

When first using gas in your home you need to let the gas company know to turn it on, and get them to check if everything is in order.

When moving house you should let the gas company know as soon as possible to get them to turn the gas off. Then you should confirm your gas bill

If You Notice a Gas Leak

 1.   Open windows etc. to let fresh air in
 2.   Turn off the gas valve to stop the gas
 3.   Do not light any flames or touch any electricity switches as this could dangerous
 4.   Let the gas company know so they can check on the situation
