What to See?

We welcome you to visit some places where you can feel the history and tradition of Japan, including The Omiya Bonsai Art Museum, where you can see bonsai born out of Japan's unique sensibilities, Iwatsuki Ward where you can view collections of simple yet beautiful Japanese dolls, the Railway Museum where you can have fun while learning about the railway, Ichinomiya Hikawa-jinja Shrine which is said to have been established over 2,000 years ago, are just some of the many places to see.

Saitama City has two J-League soccer teams and large sports facilities such as Saitama Stadium 2002 where the World Cup was held and Saitama Super Arena which hosts a multitude of major sports events. 

What to Eat?

Enjoy delicious Japanese gourmet in our city. Restaurants in the Urawa area continue to prepare traditional eel cuisine using techniques passed down from generation to generation. Also try Tofu Ramen and Stamina Ramen which are highly popular among local residents.
