Moving-out Procedures (Moving to another municipality from Saitama City)

If you are moving to a different municipality, you must inform and submit a moving-out notification at your current municipality within one month before your moving date.

Required documentations:

  1. Identification document (driver’s license, residence card, passport, etc)
  2. Seal (hanko)

Moving-in Procedures (Moving to Saitama City from another municipality)

Please submit a moving-in notification at your new municipality within 14 days of moving in.

Required documentations:

  1. Identification document (driver’s license, passport, etc)
  2. Seal (hanko)
  3. Residence card or Special Permanent Resident Certificate
  4. Passport of all household members whom moved in from overseas
  5. A move-out certificate issued by the municipality in which you have moved out of
    *Only if you have moved from a different municipality.

Moving within Saitama City

You must notify the Ward Community Service Division at the ward office of your new address within 14 days of moving.

Required documentations:

Residence card or Special Permanent Resident Certificate
