It is the responsibility of the parents to check whether your child is in a good state of health by observing, touching, and taking his/her body temperature each morning. If you are worried or have concerns about your child’s state of health, you must notify our staff.

If your child is unwell, it is best to be kept at home. Bringing medication to day care is not recommended, however should it become necessary for your child to be given medication at day care under doctor’s instruction, parents must adhere to the following guidelines. For your child’s health and development, we appreciate your understanding and communication with the day care.

Guidelines

At the hospital (doctor’s):

   1.  Ask the doctor whether if your child is able to attend day care.
   2.  For medication to be taken 3 times a day, please ask your doctor whether it could be taken outside daycare hours; or just 2 times instead of 3, in the morning and at night. 

Medication to be administered during day care hours under doctor’s instruction:

   1.  Complete one medication administration form for each medicine.
   2.  For each medication administration, write your child’s name on the medicine and put in a ziplocked plastic bag (please also write your child’s name on the ziplocked bag).
   3.  Hand in the medication administration form and medicine directly to a staff.
