Self Help – disaster preparation at home and at work

  • Keep emergency supplies, flashlights, portable radio, spare batteries, water supply for daily use, etc.
  • Install devices to prevent furniture from moving, make sure no heavy objects are placed on the furniture, and no objects in the doorways or passages.
  • Confirm your nearest evacuation site and know the how to get there in the event of a disaster. See the city’s website and hazard maps to find out the evacuation sites near your house.
