Description:

At its time of designation, this keyaki (Japanese zelkova) measured 30 meters tall, with a trunk 4.58 meters around and a base circumference of 9.8 meters.

During a rezoning project, the tree fell within the proposed path of a new road and was ordered to be felled. Thanks to a reroute, it was allowed to retain its magnificent appearance into the modern day.
