Description:

This statue is from the start of the Muromachi period (1336-1573). It was carved from several pieces of wood, a method called “yosegi-zukuri”. The statue itself stands 40.5 centimeters tall, with a distance of 28.2 centimeters between its knees, a height of 31 centimeters between the statue’s hairline and its feet, and a robe that droops 5.4 centimeters below the top of the lotus pedestal.
