Description:

A collection of letters imparting the right to land ownership (andojo) that spans several generations. Includes a November 1591 land grant from Tokugawa Ieyasu, as well as a 1617 andojo issued by Tokugawa Hidetada. Ten koku* of land within the Ueta section of the Adachi district were donated to the temple.

*Here, one koku indicates the amount of land needed to produce enough rice to feed a single person for one year (one koku ≅ 180 L).
