Description: |
It is composed of four structures: Yamauchi Kazutada, Katsuteru, Eishoin (Kazutada’s second wife, Katsutoshi’s biological mother), and Ho Yoin (Eishoin’s mother). Yamauchi Kazutada, the younger brother of Yamauchi Tadayoshi Lord (daimyo) of Tosa, received a grant of 3,000 koku from Tokugawa Hidetada in 1623 for 18 villages in the Sashiogi domain and established administrative headquarters at Nakakugi. Thereafter, Toyofusa IV ruled the area for 67 years alongside Kazutada, Katsuteru, and Kazutoshi, until he was adopted by Yamauchi Toyomasa of Tosa. |
